Customer, Vendor and Item lookups have an extra “Zoom” feature.
From these lookups you can narrow down the list displayed with the Filter button or a Search criteria. In the sample below, a Filter was added to show only the Active customers.
You can “choose” the first customer by single clicking the row, and instead of clicking the Select button click the Zoom button that is on the right side of the screen. 
When you do this the customer screen will open again. You can any make changes to the customer, Accept it, close the screen, and it brings you back to this same screen, retaining the filter or search criteria, picking up where you left off and you can then choose the next customer.
This is useful when you need to make changes to a set group of Customers, Vendors or Items that may not be in sequential order (if they are in sequential order you can use the browse buttons to quickly go through the list).
